HeartWood Fine Windows & Doors, a division of Rochester Colonial, had a role in the Emmy Award winning THIS OLD HOUSE home improvement series on WXXI Rochester. The This Old House Cambridge project featured 26 HeartWood interior doors – and this episode featured one front entry door – all made from Quarter Sawn White Oak.

Rochester Colonial Wins Coveted Better Business Bureau
Ethics Award

Rochester Colonial Manufacturing has won The Better Business Bureau's award for business ethics. The Torch Award was presented at a dinner held in Buffalo by Paychex CEO Tom Golisano and was accepted by second generation owner Mark Gionta. "I wish I had a hundred more of these awards that I could give to each employee. They're the ones that really deserve this kind of honor". Rochester Colonial was the recipient in the Large Company Category. This award is for all of New York State outside of New York City. Mark Gionta said "we're proud just to be in the company of such good companies".
Preservation Board Approves Rochester Colonial
Wood Windows

The City of Rochester Preservation Board – which meets to approve applications for Certificates of Appropriateness and make recommendations on landmark designations – has approved custom wood windows manufactured by Rochester Colonial for the George Eastman House.
DandC Readers Vote Us Rochester's Choice AGAIN
FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR IN A ROW, Rochester Colonial Manufacturing has received top honors in a Gannett Newspaper reader survey. Rochester's Choice Award is conducted by The Democrat and Chronicle. Readers vote by ballots published in the paper. In the first seven years the DandC has conducted the survey, Rochester Colonial has won all seven years in the Window & Door category. Mark Gionta, owner of Rochester Colonial Manufacturing stated "this award really belongs to our employees who are in the field where actions speak louder than words."
